You can fight cheaters, extremely experienced players, or simply Zerg Rushers in C&C. There is no matchmaking scheme so there’s no telling who you’ll be fighting against. While local games of up to 8 players are fun with friends, playing with strangers online is a different matter entirely. Lastly, this expansion introduces online play, either through LAN or through the internet. Be warned though: the final “boss” is a General that utilizes technologies from all factions. This is a crossover between campaign and skirmish, giving you a series of increasingly difficult and self-contained battles with AI-controlled players. One of these modes is the Generals’ Challenge, where you take on the mantle of a General and battle other contenders.
You can also check out new gameplay modes not available in the original. Not only are there new missions to play, but it reintroduces a feature not available in the base game: live-action cutscenes where mission briefs are handed to the player. You get to complete additional story-driven tasks for the USA, the Global Liberation Army, and China - in the same order. zip files included in the topic linked above, into 'C:\Users\Your-Name\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps' and proceed accordingly. (I know, maybe not that realistic, but come on, falling towers are so much fun!) In addition to these unstable spires, other buildings are also carefully placed to provide players with certain tactical advantages (I won't give anything away here play the level and discover them yourself!).The main feature of C&C: Generals Zero Hour is its three new campaigns, each having five missions. If a tower is fired upon from the correct angle, one can actually cause a devastating domino-effect of falling towers. The city is littered with countless low-armored towers which, when destroyed, can collapse and single-handedly take down several buildings as well as anything else in its path (such as passing tank division, perhaps?). Despite all the advantages that the city provides, trying to remain in control can be quite difficult. I worked very hard on this map to provide players with numerous strategic opportunities. With a surplus of supply crates and tech buildings situated in the heart of this dusty metropolis, he who controls the city will almost inevitably dominate the battlefield. The map is divided down the center by a large Middle-Eastern city, which is located atop steep cliffs with only three access routes on either side.
